While the GOP may have had misguided policies and tried to appease
too many people they basically do what is right. The Democrats basically do what is wrong.

They Are A Sneaky Lot
I agree that they are huge liars. I think it is part of the party platform. With Democrats, its all about them as individuals with the American people being little more than a stage. That has always been true.

taxguy,
Term limits would be a wonderful thing. I would love to see that. I get amused by the Democrats though. They will do anything to get in power. They blatantly lied to the American people. It did not take them 100 hours to break all the promises they broke when they campaigned. They are foul.

Term Limits, Term Limits, Term Limits!

The American people do need to wake up. Until we do, this train will never stop. We need to be fourceful with term limits. We can not continue to let our Congress get its hooks into a network of lobbyists and big money which really does erode the confidence that we are getting representative government.

In my profession, we cannot perform an audit unless we are deemed to be independent. Independence is defined as infact and in appearance. A Congressman who is in office for more than two terms appears to me to have independence issues, whether or not he actually does. We are worried about the appearance of our President becoming King to we have limited his term of office. We also need to rotate some of these glorified no-accounts from office. If we really are tired of grid-lock as we say we are, then its time to envoke term limits. Afterall, its not the fault of these repeat performers we elect to Congress, it is the fault of "We The People".

Cypress,
You are probably exactly correct.

Writer,
The lobbyists will be there!

SAROOSTER
This lame duck presidency and congress will milk the lobbyists for all there worth. The American public is more concerned with the war now to worry about contributions and trips provided by lobbyists. The Democrats will label all gifts as a fact-finding mission. Earl Pitts will be all over this.

If the lobbyists are no longer welcome . . .
. . . then why are they setting up housekeeping to deal with the new Congress?
