Yes, yes YES! EXACTLY! The second chapter of the first book I wrote was, quite literally, a dream! It was so funny and utterly absurd, I HAD to write it down!
And sometimes you think up a sentence that's so catchy (it might not make sense at the time, but catchy it is)...and it suddenly explodes into pages more!

Oh, Kabu, madness is relative (pesky grin)! When a person tends to stray from society's norm, she's often labeled mad! She might be tomorrow's genius, though!
Yes, I do tend to get lost at times, and then the path taken just kinda bleeds itself out. The inspiration dulls. That's when I know I've gotta backtrack and find something else to kindle up the fire again. Sometimes, I even have to let it rest until...voila!...an idea smacks me in the face with a fish (yes, I do like Monty Python).

A lot of my work has come to me fully-formed in my sleep. And like you, I get these odd concepts coming out of the blue.
Usually, they are a sentence or two that I think would make a good ending, and I write the story towards it

t's a great thing!I
Now that's the way I do it.The heroine of my novel wasn't even supposed to be in it, she brought herself along...& even named herself. Gillian isn't a name I even like!
Do you ever find youself at the wrong destination? When my mind is busy I end up in all sorts of wrong places & I don't think I'm mad!
