We’re far too quick to judge the out-stretched hand versus offering a kind word and some assistance. So many skeptics out there – shaking heads in disgust without even knowing the circumstances that may have placed a lost soul in a position of need. Your poem was stunning, beautiful, and a reminder of the power of giving.

A very skilful ballad, Sannhet, telling the story almost like a parable.
Great stuff. The rhyme and rhythm work very nicely too, alongside some sharp images.

I'm just glad that an "angel" found you and helped you to reach the grace you now have! Thanks for the visit, my friend.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, it is a big problem here in the Phoenix area too. Though there are more and more shelters being opened with funds from generous citizens.

You and your muse are a blessing to this Blogit family my friend. Imagine, I used to drink out of the brown bag once, on and under benches, under buses, in back lanes, and because of someone like your friend, I'm 'here' instead of 'there.'

Your muse and you are quite talented…
..this is something that I think of often, for we have many such homeless people panhandling on the corners in my City.

It's good to give with no thought of getting. Great job on this one.

Sannhet, this poem is absolutely beautiful and
heart-wrenching and soul-searching all at the same time! I run into this situation often and it is amzing the joy you recieve when you ignore the comments of others and reach only toward the hand held out to you! I always think, but for the grace of God, go I! Thank you for strengthening my resolve to give without compromise or judgement! Blessings! faholo
