As my parents used to say "What is the world coming to?",

Now, I am starting to feel self-conscious every time I write. Surely, we all know that poor writing skills leads to poor communication, sometimes with disastrous consequences. I have witnessed it many times on Blogit and else where, it is not just a matter of following grammar rules for pedantic reasons, as some would have us believe.

 I know you are swimming against the tide, but keep swimming anyway. I cannot see things improving I am afraid, but getting worse for a while. There is no quality control, but having said that, some blogsites do just that, and demand that you post writing that is sufficiently clear and grammatically correct, and they reserve the right not to publish your blog. So, that is a good sign. This "system", collecting clicks invites mediocrity in my book, but that is another story.
