Doctor's Visit

Speaking of politically correct.  The last time we went to the doctor with a sick child, he suggested we should take up drinking to deal with the all night crankiness, high fevers, and bossy infants.

Enjoyed the post.  Too true not to be humorous.

welcome to BN..

my husband and I PLANNED to spoil our kids...

but quickly saw where that was going..

now we nurture them instead..

whenenver they decide to throw a public tantrum,

we hug and kiss them..

want to see a child stop pouting quick!

Try having MOM kiss them in public!

Did you know that Dr. Phil's not really a doctor?
...I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV!

This was a really strong first post.
And you're dead on - Dr. Phil and Dr. Laura have a LONG road to haul before they get anywhere near the realm of Practical Advice for Parents.  Welcome to BN! :)

Been there, done that
I went through this with my kids. I now have the twenty year old who "moves out" but "never leaves". I love this time of the year though. In August I go to the mall to watch parents shop for school clothes for the ungrateful little bastards who have to have the "logo" clothes. Now that the twenty year old clueless wonder buys clothes with his own money he thinks "Joe Boxer" from Kmart is cool, I wouldn't have seen that 10 years ago.
