I saw a documentary about the origins of many of these scams. Not only are the culprits from foreign countries, but most are incredibly young, teens and such. Who knows what havoc they'll create once they get older.

By the way, I dug through some of my old phots and found a good shot from the fire I mentioned in the other blog. I'll post it in my journal sometime this afternoon/evening.
