I missed all this as I didn't have access to the net for a few days.
But Blanche was good to me as well. And I suppose it was her illness that got the better of her, like Frankk said. Maybe we could help her through Frank and others who know her? For those who got some nasty comments from her, we are all sorry, (and I know it's easy for me to say it as I didn't get any such comments). but understand it from the context from which she made those comments.

Janes....Sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't.
People kept trying to warn Blanche to back off and simmer down, but she simply took it as an afront. She got defensive and it just made her worse. We could all see where it was going but she wouldn't listen.

Frankk...I didn't realize you knew her personally.
I hope you're close enough to check up on her and see that she gets the medical treatment she needs. Most of the time, a person with her mental health issues can function normally with the right meds and some counseling.

and I'm with frankk on this -- Blanche's comments were very troubling (not to mention wrong and inflammatory) but for sure I would not wish her illness on my worst enemy. I see people such as herself and wonder why them, why not me? If anything, this event should be a good reminder to all of us Blogit folk of the compassion and kindness we need to have for each other -- even (somehow) while in the midst of a heated discussion/debate.
Is that possible?

She is no threat to anyone. If you knew the reality its quite the
opposite, she is completely vulnerable. Of course she couldn't
be allowed to continue going off on people on the blog and she
herself is actually glad not to have access to it in her condition.
I know her in real life and have been through this with her
before. She is a sweet, kind, intelligent and charming person.
It was wonderful to see her bloom on this site as a writer and
socially and really this is just very sad.

Frankk...I read some of the comments she made to people...
She even threatened their lives. You're right. We can't compare her situation to that of a "normal" person. I DO hope she gets some help too. But it's best for all that she's gone.

Blanche has a mental illness. It doesn't excuse her actions or make
them any more palatable for the recipients but you can't compare it
to a normal person "ups and downs" either. I feel bad for all the people
who got nasty comments from her but I wouldn't wish her situation on
my worst enemy.

I guess "Unhinged" is a good description Mysteria.
She shouldn't have taken her frustrations out on us. We're family. My life is in the sewer right now too. But I find great comfort in talking and exchanging with you guys.
I have no idea what the world is set up to do....it has the potential to be a beautiful, really fun experience. I find it very sad that it so often isn't.

Hi Passh...Blanche was always nice to me and she often gave me
good things to think about when feeling poorly. I'm sorry she was so hurtful to so many of us. I just don't understand it...I feel bad for her. It was like she would become unhinged or something. I know all too well the self destructive patterns of my mind...I suppose hers is like that too. It's just a shame that we couldn't help her...really a shame we can't help everyone. But the world just isn't set up that way I guess.
What is it set up to do? I have no idea

Offbeat...I just talked to this police officer who works with NOLA
He says NOLA is the second largest force behind border patrol. He told me that 6 months ago, they started training a bunch of them to work bio-hazards and federally declared emergencies.
They issued bio-hazard equpment to them and told them that some of them might be assigned to work with FEMA in the near future. I think our govt is expecting some type of "Attack" on American soil that they forgot to tell us about.

See really started picking up her pace about the time I blocked her...then there was a couple of posts specifically challanging me to remove the blog......but I had had it with her and yet as she emploded, she didn't block me.......
Hmmm??? Could it have been "love at first block?"
