Yup, this year just me and kitty. I'll go to church in the morning and then out for turkey at Kelsey's with other Christmas loners. I'm really looking forward to it. Merry Christmas and Happy New year luv

Sunny
Not so much during Christmas, except to Christian friends, but as you know India is a place of festivities, so during Durga Puja, Diwali, Holi, and many others... we have similar rituals as yours.

Spending time at home in the peace and quiet is a very good and relaxing tradition!

Yes BLIZZARDS...they blow me away~

OFFBEATS
That sounds nice. What would be weather permitting? Anything short of a blizzard? Haha.
As far as I know, it's spelled correctly (of course, I'm not the best one to ask about spelling, it was a weak subject for me. ).

Sunny
We always go out caroling (did I spell that right) that is if the weather permits. Then we have a few drinks and put everything under the tree for the little ones..

That sounds so nice. The radio thing is really interesting. Maybe I should try that.

I got to a point where I think, why wait? There going to have so much stuff in one day? So might as well slit it up.

That's so nice. The kids will really appreciate that in the future, as I'm sure they will have fond memories.

I got talked into opening one gift on Christmas eve. This has carried on for the past few years. Also, each year everyone gets an ornament, there is a card made out for each one with the year and such. When the kids go on their own, they will have these ornaments for their trees.

My mother used to do something similar to what you're talking about.  Every year, she would let us open ONE give a few days before Christmas.  As you said, it kept all of us kids from becoming too impatient.

On Christmas Eve, if I'm not working, we take a drive around the city

and suburbs looking at the light displays....we started doing this before the girls were born....

We'll also leave the radio on all night Christmas Eve, on a station thats playing Christmas music only...

Only $2,100? I would think a package that could achieve so much would have a much higher value. LOL

Yes, we always maintain tradition ~

For three years running now, our very own Dark Dreamer has been the official Mistress for Christmas here at the research center.

And if any salad-tossing, secular "holiday tree" homos object, they win a two-week treatment package.....a $2,100 value!  We'll have them singing traditional carols like a herd of eunichs.
