Deadlines
Two problems I've had with gift cards:
They have an expiration date. Can't be used after that date. Why? They already have your money. Did my "cash" expire on them? A blatant rip-off.
Some have a "no change" policy. If you use a $25 gift card for a $10.00 purchase, they won't give back change. Why? If I pay for a $10 purchase with a $20, I expect change, to use anywhere I please. They haven't lost any money; the gift card's already been paid for. Eventually, you will use the full amount plus some, the pay out of pocket.
