Thanks for the reassurance
Coincidentally enough, I just finished eating an apple moments before seeing your comment. The exaggerated efforts I made to assure myself the fruit was safe would have made most of America laugh, and I didn't think twice about it at the time.

T-o-d actually not far fetched at all. My wife and I have definitely moved away from fresh vegetables and fruits due to the recent scares. We always end up coming back to the healthy stuff, but it becomes more and more difficult to stay on track when there is a fear factor. Scrubbing an apple maniacally in the hope of eliminating any danger gets old pretty fast.

Have you noticed that it is green vegetable that are the causes,
as we fear the once healthy spinach and usually harmless green onion, the things that we should be afraid of every day are the rest of the menu at the convenient fast food places. I would be much better off is the next scare was the cheeseburger and fries or if the news frightened me off of pizza. It is hard enough to get people to eat salads and, I fear, the recent ecoli outbreaks will only push us further away from health. Maybe a little far fetched?
