I've never really contemplated how lazy pigeons are before.  But, now that you've brought it up. . , they do seem to do nothing more than scramble around the sidewalks looking for dropped french fries and bread crumbs.  LOL  I thoght they were supposed to be carrying messages from A to B and stuff.  (grin)

Hi, so  good to see you writing. Pigeons always have surprised me with their 'flight of tattle'. Those who take messages and return. Interesting poem.

muser, He doesn't sing but he sure makes a lot of funny noises.  When we lived in the big old house in the older part of the city, pigeons made their home at the corner of the eaves in a protected place that happened to be just the other side of the wall from our bedroom and they roosted at the head of our bed.  Their noises were a little disconcerting and not at all conducive to romance.  We were just across the street from a big old Catholic Church that provided refuge for the main portion of them.  They sure could fly well enough to get back and forth from here to there and visa versa.  LOL
