What a wonderful post, Schatz.  There are wonderful, loving and helpful people in this world, including yourself.  Its too bad that most of the time we only hear about the bad ones.

Schatz
You have made my day. I personally believe it is God showing you how he will meet your needs and your heart's desire. You are a loving, fair and giving person. He knows that. He also allows you to go through things to go where he needs you and I firmly believe it is in social work too. Don't ever refuse a gift both of you are being blessed the giver and the reciever. Oh I pray God opens up the windows of heaven and pour out so much you can't contain it.

HI Mommas! HeY! Great Great news! I kinda had the feeling that the

universe wouldn't leave you all hanging but to know that things are turning around is a relief.  You have so much soul in your eyes...they are filled with greatness.  I can imagine you making a difference through social services.  I've been thinking about volunteering for Hospice myself :)

I'm glad to see your power is still on. I'd been sort of worried about you since I read that it had gone off for a while.

Schatz,

What a beautiful and well told story!  Sometimes in our lives we get real, down to earth lessons directly from God.  That's what it sounds to me like what happened to you.

You said you might go into social work but are concerned that you will burn out.  I've been in social work.  I worked with families where there was substantiated child abuse.  That job taught me a lot. It taught me never to judge others and that until you actually walk in someone else's shoes, you do not really have a clue as to what they are experiencing and feeling.  I didn't get burned out.  I found it to be very rewarding because I was doing something to help.  Yes, it could be depressing and frustrating but just one success made it all worthwhile.

That may not be the same for you but I thought I'd share my own experience in the hopes that it might help you in making your decision.

You have received a valuable lesson and you have heeded it.  How wonderful for you!
