I find your writings, though somewhat rebellious from a Christian point if view, but very true and with a respect for other religions as well. It only goes on to say that Christianity has not been able to teach Tolerance, and to that extent, becomes, parochial.

Christmas is all about the economy. Until very recently, the main religion
of the most powerful economic forces was Christianity.  Jesus was probably born in April, but western civilization needed excitement around the time of the winter solstice, so we dictated to the rest of humanity how to live and we shove Christmas as well as everything else we can think of down their throats  Merry Christmas.

christmas is always too much pressure for me
right now i am mad at my family because i am sick of "taking care" of everything - so who wants to buy presents.  i think i might cancel Christmas this year.

that's right.

that's the impression they give.

to maintain their belief, they have to believe that their belief rules.  and that others are invalid.

whatever lies outside of their perceptions is truly not worthy of their consideration.

When I read this post, all I could think of was what I'd said earlier in one of my blogs - so many of my fellow believers feel they belong to an elite club called "the saved," and that the rest of us belong to the great unwashed ("the lost"). We are unworthy of polluting their doorstep or keeping company with them unless and until we express interest in belonging to the club ("become saved").
