Kid...I think they did a great job with the balloons.
They kept them very low to the ground and that seems to have worked. It was a fun parade all things considered.

And then there are the Rockettes

They wore those skimpy outfits - even if they're flesh-colored cloth in the appropriate places for modesty's sake, those things have to be cold in that wet, rainy Thanksgiving day weather. New York isn't exactly a tropical rain forest this time of year.

The powers that be almost pulled the balloons from the parade due to the wind, allowing them to stay in literally at the last minute.

Ha, ha Maggie...I'll bet you won't have to cook for a week.
I'm writing for a couple of content sites, trying to earn some CASH as a writer...that 9 to 5 job sucks all the life out of me every day....LOL!

Passion, have you done any work on your book at all?  I was just sitting here and it crossed my mind, so I thought I'd ask.  Has it really gone cold on you or are you finishing it and keeping it to yourself?  I hope, for your sake, you're going to finish it.

Yes, I am tired,   I've been absolutely useless all day.  I told my husband that if he go hungry, the refrigerator is full, just go for it because i'm not going to worry about fixing dinner tonight.  He's good with it, I guess, because I haven't gone to the kitchen.

Wow...you were busy Maggie...bet you're tired today-
The parade was really good in spite of the nasty weather.

I didn't watch the parade - never gave it a thought because I was too busy yesterday.

But they did keep the baloons real low to the ground. They were out there in the street singing and dancing like nothin was wrong...reall troopers.

I had steak too Blanche...

Yeah, I bet most of those people in the parade will get the flu in a few days...nasty day in NYC.

Hugs to you and M.

Nope, I didn't watch the Macy's parade, Passionflower, I forgot all about

it.  Those poor people, though, that would be a drag, marching in the rain. Brr.

We've been having a good day, waited til the last minute to go grocery shopping, but decided to have steak instead of prime rib. We're so non-traditional.  Having fun?

Around 5 this morning they thought they just might have to cancel the balloons for the parade..those folks could have been carried over to Staten Island with those winds...

P.F.
Think of the brave (or silly) souls who went to line the streets to see the parade in person!   I dragged my daughter down to the Santa Clause parade when she was young but I think that lasted only 2 years.  Then it was hot chocolate and TV for this girl.

No parade for me, I just barley got up and hope to find a store open as my daughter wants me to bring the yams and I am not prepared.  Hope you have a good Turkey day too.
