Travelling alone
I also like to travel alone though I've never been serenaded yet!

Good for you, RedScribe. Not many people learn this lesson because they are too unsure to even try it.

I have heard this about travelling alone
When people travel together they talk mainly to each other. The lone traveller becomes more socially involved.
I enjoy going places with a group of friends, but find sometimes it is preferable to be alone than going with just one other person.

I absolutely, positively love to travel alone.
Wealthy is the person that can go to a movie whenever they want, and doesn't need a companion. And that can try out a new restaurant and feel secure enough not to worry about sitting alone. A newspaper, journal, or book is partner enough. When you are alone, you are free to stop and browse, or view the scenery uninterrupted. You are free to meet the locals and be whoever you want to be at that moment, unhampered by another personality that might not be as apt to visiting for unrushed lengths of time.
Bravo to you. You will never be lonely when you have yourself as your best friend.
