I don't mind the ban so much. I do think that bar owners and  such should be allowed to make their own decision. But, what a man does in his own home should not be banned

it drives me mad....about this smoke banning!

our smoke bannin in the UK, will be taking force very soon....no smoking on streets, bars, blah blah.......I think it is ridiculous!

smoking only harms us....its our problem.

whereas drink - alcohol - is the cause for most crimes....yet they are banning smoking.....it don't make sense to me at all.

It comes down to common sense.

None of which you will find in any organization, be it HOA, legislature, or papal council.

Good to see ya back here, Brother Tim!

The folks are appealing. Until then, they must go across  the street, in whatever weather and smoke. Big brother is watching

So far,  they have been allowed to tell these people what to do in their own home.

taps

I did the same thing. I got called to a meeting, or a lynching........it was supposed to start at six, I waited until six thirty. Once I was in there, I let them have it, telling them to keep their schedule and such. They called me in for having toys in my front yard, at the time my kids were young. I  told them that I had toys and was going to have toys in my yard,  but  that they were always put away by five. They showed me pictures that they had taken.........it was not my house!!

I sold and moved

I would say sue the creeps...take it to a higher court. Unbelievable to think someone can tell you what you can and can't do in your own home...I mean it's like the smoking police is going to come and arrest ya? LOL~

Nice to see you again Timmy.  I owned a condo for 20 years and I thought we had strick  rules but this is ridicules.  How can they tell people what they do in their own homes.

TIMMYTALES, I know you are telling the truth, but even so its hard to believe.  My friend in Phoenix had so many problems with HOA being picky about stuff that he sold and bought a house where there was no HOA.

I can't beleive this...it's incredible...
Surely this didn't really happen. I don't like smoking either but this isn't right.
