It always surprises folks when I tell 'em I'm lucky
that I'm one of the luckiest people around. I've had experience with poverty, abuse, a cheating husband, financial setbacks, teen rebellion, etc., etc. I think I am indeed very lucky because this experience gives me empathy with people who are going through some emotional or physical trauma, and I can sometimes even be helpful. Life is good. :)
