Sorry, just getting back from yesterday and only for a little while. I've still got Mathieux and he will be waking up any moment.
It is an unusual way to spell the little guy's name and won't it be a nightmare when he has to write it in school, not to mention having to deal with spelling it out every time he will have to when he grows older. I always have to spell my first name to people because Rosalie isn't a real ordinary name and my husband always has to spell his first name Allen because most people want to spell it Alan.
Mathieux's parents wanted to give him a unique name. His mommy majored in French in college and this was a way to give him a name people could remember and still give it a unique twist.

RAME, You are so right. Its too late for grandma when the grandchildren are teens. All you can do then is enjoy what they have already become and give support and love. Love and support is good at any age. What an unusual spelling for your grandson's name. I like it. My grandson Matthew is now 17.
