Mr. Cat, can you show us a picture of your new cat tree?  I've been wanting one but there are so many different kinds.  I need to decide soon what kind I want so I can ask Santa Claus in time for the elves to make me a proper one.  --Pitiful

well, as a matter of fact we have one of those--
a "double wide" from Trader Joes. Rocky loved it at first but when it becomes the slightest bit worn he likes to lie on the thing but won't scratch it much. The other two cats still use it all the time. At $8 a pop I can't be buying a new one every darn week!!

Julia (and Rocky)
it's a little known fact that most cats are 'horizontal scratchers'- that is, they prefer to do their exercise scratching on a horizontal surface.  I particularly favor my corrugated cardboard scratcher that is on the floor.  I can jump on that and really go to town with scratching!  Tell your Mom to get you one!  Sincerely, Mister Cat.

ah...how nice of them!
Could you come by my house and show Rocky how to use it? He thinks his scratching post is just for show, and he prefers the nice new wall-to- wall carpet!!
