Checked CNN.com
it looks like the tsunami was much smaller than anticipated and just affected the northern island. It didn't say anything on the report of damage to Japan from the earthquake itself. CNN is pretty good with the accuracy of their reports. I'll keep checking too. Hope you can get some sleep!

I have friends on Okinawa (sp?)
I hope they're ok. They both have families with them. I better call and send prayers.
