I've been living in the "now" for a while. It gets easier with practice and time. Once you realize that there is really no past or future, just "right now" it becomes easier.

Looking forward (as difficult as it may be at times) is the only way to
overcome bad memories or hurts that linger. My shrink always says
"stay in the moment" - meaning don't dwell on the past and don't fret
about the future. It's hard to do.
