I'll repeat my guess-
it's an atmospheric phenomena over the Carribean. You can identify Florida and Cuba as the geographic landmarks; a satellite photo.

EEuwh!!!
All those squiggly legs; my first impulse;use is to squish it. I am not fond of insects; my son wanted to be an entomologist. I let him have hissing cockroaches and tarantulas in my house. What mothers will do to nurture an interest. He still has his spider. She's about ten years old!
