Happy Birthday, Blanche, yes, I am too thinking hard about any
cjanges that need to be made in my life!

Amen to that, Mountainclimber, today is a good day, though.
to begin re-thinking a lot of things, for me, personally.  Monday was my birthday, and, although I had a lot of fun here on the blog, I wasn't able to really celebrate. I'm going to do something fun today, and rest.  How about you?

Blanche, Yes, God is on the top, and it is nice to occasionaly be there
with Him!

Humility is a necessary part of growing up, MountainClimber, it will come
to all of us, one or another, as people and as a country. No one stays on top forever. And really, what is on top?   God is in charge.

Blance, it hard to be humble when you are on top -- but if you aren't
the fall can come soon, and great can be that fall!

Somoene has said to me, a wise blogger, I might add, "Would you rather be

right or happy?"  and I thought very hard about that, and thought, "What if I need to be right in order to be happy?"    It's not always an either/or.  As Christians, you and I believe in a righteous God, a benevolent but just God, and that there is such a thing as "right and wrong", but that we (humans) fumble around trying to figure out what is right.

I'd rather that than to give up and say that there is no right and wrong, it's all a moral gray area and everybody is right and nobody is wrong.

But, I agree, I hope a little grace as well as graciousness can go a long way, humility is the most important and attractive virtue, in my book.

Blanche, That is the key, succeed rather than gloat. One of the great
mistakes of the Republicans is that they were more interested in gloating than they word succeeding -- good point!

MountainClimber, I think we can. I'm optimistic that if Americans remember

that we are Americans first, and get past the negativity and the scandal, which are less important than peace and prosperity, then I think we can put on our storm gear and rubber boots and weather any storms together.

That is, if we really want to succeed in life rather than gloat.
