MC, I think we can work together.
I have been an apathetic non-participant for years, cynical about the democratic process and it was empowering and exhilaraiting to see people come out in droves, desprte drenching rains. I am happy to see the Democrats take control of the House, in order to restore balance of power between liberals and conservatives.
I think the Founding Fathers believed that the American people are fundamentally good and decent and that democracy can work. It is exciting to see that happen. What the future holds is up to those of us who participate. That's a great thing about America and I'm very proud of us today.
