Hi, Twainman, I do not doubt a word of your article!
I was one of those teachers who felt inadequate to teach, science and health in elementary school and for good reason, I was inadequate! I thought once the subject areas became specialized this concern ended for teachers. From your article I see I have been incorrect in that belief. The blue section is very interesting and I learned a lot from you on these topics. In my state teachers are graded on adequacy in all areas and they work at increasing their knowledge each year because their job is at risk! Good post, keep writing and teaching us!
