Most of my comment reading is done when I have nothing else to do.
Not often. LOL

Most times I don't have spare time to read others comments so if I leave one (which I usually do) it's because it's what I am thinking on the subject...

Mademoiselle and Troosha
You're both right. M, no. Most times no one is saying what you are, and Troosha, yeah, I'd rather have an honest comment that I don't like, or that disagrees with me somehow, than a fake one.

lady, I can relate to that. I do it too, pick out an interesting comment
and THEN go read the post. Good point.

LOL AbsolutelyPositive
Often that happens to me. I show up late and don't feel like weeding through it.

I read other comments first
Just a few minutes ago, I was going to comment on a blog but after reading 35 other comments I decided against it.

i comment before I read the other comments
but then reading the comments page may prompt me to read a post i normally wouldn't have read so fast - go around and around

I try to read the comments whenever possible, but sometimes I don't have the time.
I think I'm usually pretty safe in assuming no one will have said what I'm going to, anyway.
Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk,
my first instinct is to laugh.
But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me.
Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny.

Sometimes reading the other comments before I forge ahead
textures what I might have otherwise said. So, for me, it's read and what ever reaction the post has invoked fuels my comments. Having said that, I then read the other comments and something think might is out in left field. But who really cares - say what you feel, right?

I usually leave my comment first . . .
Then read what everyone else said.
Unless there are only one or two comments before mine. Then I'll read them first. I've noticed that A_Norseman tends to leave comments on blogs that are exactly what I wanted to say.
