you can fill out an application on line - but you will have to send in some income info and your utility bill. they might pay your electric and phone as they did mine. I was in 2 accidents this year and was temporarily disabled so i qualify. whether or not it is your fault - THIS IS WHAT OUR TAXES PAY FOR. when honest hard-working people get down on their luck for any reason and need a little help - not for the welfare abusers out there. today is the first day in PA so HURRY UP!!!!!!!!!

One of the phone calls I plan on making this afternoon is for just such energy assistance. Our income might be low enough for us to qualify - in Illinois, it's called LIHEAP. (The LI stands for Low Income.) I feel strongly that one of the main reasons our income is so low right now is our own fault. I don't blame the economy or the wider society - sometimes, one has to take responsibility for failings.

you might qualify for energy assistance
contact your local department of public welfare and you can do it on-line. they paid $800 of my bill last year. this is why we pay taxes - so when we need help it is there. i just filled mine out this morning.
