..I was home last year on the 11th and found the parades and the veterens in the malls etc very touching. My father served overseas for 4.5 years but he's been gone for 34 years.

That was a rehearsal, surely? For Remembrance Day is Nov 11, or in Britain the next Sunday tothe 11th.
