I could handle gospel music, Maggie...
But country...hummmm....I dunno....lemme think...maybe since you're such good company I could tolerate some Waylon Jennings or whatever.
Don't you know any Sting songs? How about the Stereophonics? Surely you listen to Sarah MacLachlan??????????????

Yes Offbeats....First Monday at Canton is huge now.
It goes from the Thursday before thru the first monday of the month. A lot of people rent a hotel room and spend the weekend there. It's sort of like Disney Land in that you can't see all of it in one day. It takes several.
They have the best antiques, plus some great grilled sausage on a stick, corn dogs, funnel cakes, etc.

The menu sounds awesome. I just made a hugh bowl of applesauce, we went to the apple orchards this morning, and we could add some of that- it's yummy, Passion.

Yes it is, Offbeat...it's so beautiful.
You won't believe your eyes. We'll go exploring in those piney woods. They also have some wonderful antique auctions and flea markets down there.

Maggie...I'd love to go fishing with you.
We could pack a nice picnic lunch...maybe some homemade fried chicken and potato salad and a nice lemon pound cake with cream cheese icing.
You have to help me sing to those fish. It really does make them bite better. What tunes do you know?

Passion, would you take me fishing? That's a beautiful dream, you and me sitting on the bank with our fishing poles in the water, just sitting back and chewing the fat. I love your memories and descriptions, just my kind of place.

When you come to Texas, I'll take you down there, Offbeats.
You won't want to leave. It's so peaceful and beautiful. It's only about an hour and a half from Dallas.

Your welcome Whysper...I hope you get to go there again soon.
I've been needing to visit my Gran's farm for some time now. My soul is running on empty and I'm feeling weary of this life.
Trips to those special places rejuvenate us. There's no love or joy in my life.

I had to think about this for awhile
But, yes there is a place I love to go back to. Fabian's Forest Preserve, in Batavia, Ill.
It's wonderful preserve that was this guy's estate many years ago. He had his own private zoo, museum and even a windmill he bought in Holland, and had it shipped over and rebuilt there.
I spent many days of my childhood wandering around and fantasizing in this wonderful park. My boyscout troop camped there on many occasions. I even got married there once.
I can still go back, and sit in the middle of this place and drift back to my childhood. It's always a stop on my trips back home.
Thanks Passion, I needed a trip down memory lane.

Nothing like a farm to build great
childhood memories. I have been living on farms for the majority of my life and rarely bore of the life style.
