Passionflower, it's only the tempering that makes pottery or steel,
whichever metaphor you like better. Would I be who I am now if not for this? No, so am I sorry? No.

Wow! I'm sorry I missed this...
It's so well written and such a great story you tell. Of course I'm sorry for your suffering and I'm so glad you're much better.

Mneme, speaking of the wellspring of ideas, there was a tv show on last
night, on the Discovery channel about black holes, space-time continuum, the Milky Way and the universe in general. I was stunned, since I know so little about astronomy, at how many galaxies there are. At the sheer power and magnificence of the universe itself.
They talked at length about black holes, there is a huge project going on to map the universe, and found that every single galaxy had a black hole in the center of it. It was fascinating, primal, primordial, immense and fascinating.

Not skeptical, Blanche, more whimsical
Esoterica is my mainstay. I like what you're doing here, tapping into that deep well. Doesn't matter where the material comes from; I was thinking more of when the awareness of such things began, back in the mists of time. Call me old-fashioned.

" how the seed of the other-worldly was planted in human consciousness",
Mneme, you sound skeptical. The experiences are not imaginary, even if I put them in a fictional format. I may embellish here, or cut there, but the gist of the story is as I have lived it. So, the seed was planted by the other-worldly itself.

Justi, I have heard of the Frank Peretti books, I am not reading anything
that will influence my own story at this point, I just can't. Somehow, intuitively, it does not feel right, it will alter my own, and I want it to be as accurate as possible. Whatever inspiration I have, has to come from within.

Strong writing, Blanche. Imagery makes it.
This paragraph for instance:
The maelstroms of my heart, unmoored on the sea of fortune, alone, brought me to many shores, tossed on the waves, searching for signs of direction, and a star to steer by.
The reader is bombarded with mind-flicking pictures to create a really rich texture to the prose.

Balnche, this is very engaging
and very perceptive. There really is a lot of untapped material out there in the other-wordly, and even if it all turned out to be nonsense, you have to wonder how the seed of the idea was planted at the beginning of human consciousness...

Dear one. Satan's purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. He goes after those who will do good unless he can stop them, harm them or slow them as much as possible. Please get
This Present Darkness or Piercing the Darkness both are by Frank Pareitti. They will talk about a lot of what you are talking about. They are fiction, but they are addressing truth all to close as many of us know.

I would find it hard to write otherwise, Rumoured, it's my life story.
Thank you, for the encouragement. I'm puzzled as to how to describe it from here, what details are salient and which are not, but your encouragement and that of the other writers here whom I really respect means so much. Thank you.

Very descriptive and well told
For some reason I'm having trouble coming up with good comments today... I read people's stuff and then can't figure out what to say about any of it. But, I wanted you to know I read here and liked it. Perhaps I'll have something more constructive to say another day. I look forward to the next installment.

I wondered when you'd try your hand at fiction. Your writing style is well-suited for it. Good so far. I'm no expert, but I noticed a few things that could make this tighter and even more suspenseful (if this is a word). I'll gladly share my ideas if you wish.
