You appear to be seriously misinformed about things scientific – at least regarding radiation, radioactive waste, and nuclear power. Perhaps I can help. Interesting...
I assume that is the same Dixie Lee Ray that is the former Governor of Washington State and also a leading nuclear power advocate. So it is sort of odd to see her as an envrionmentalist, considering nuclear wastes lie like a blistering sore all around Richland Washington. Those radioactive wastes remain dangerous, virtually forever in terms of human lifespans. Storage of these wastes should be as much a concern as global warming, and probably easier to do something about in the near term.
