Solo..I didn't write any letters to anyone...just spoke to the manager
Of the restaurant. It isn't very difficult to make good toast. You place 2 slices of bread in a toaster, wait a minute or 2, when it pops up, you spread some butter on it.
It's certainly NOT too much to expect when you pay $7.00 for a plate of scrambled eggs.

You're making a written complaint because they didn't put BUTTER on your TOAST? Are you nuts?

That's great Maggie....
You've probably hit on one of the big reasons why....people don't teach their kids to be polite and respectful. I'm glad to hear that you did this with your kids.

You tell me Tanga...
I've no idea. Why? What is so hard about being nice and accomodating to your customers?

Bluebird....no need to apologize to me.
I've been bitter and cynical for a couple of years.
We tried to convince the restaurant manager of that very thing. Toast is not the same if it isn't buttered while its warm. He was unmoved.

Passionflower...Isn't it just the little things that make you feel good?
Like for instance...butter oozing into your toast..without which, toast is just not the same and, YES... people in customer service need to understand the concept that a little kindness and consideration go a
long way. Sorry I am a little bitter about the world in general this week. Thanks for the thoughts...at least they aren't mine for this one minute(LOL)...Take Care.

Passion, my daughter is in management with Old Navy and her work is in Customer Service. If she acts with her customers the was I raised her, she'll go far. She's a very nice lady.

I missed your question on beauty schools, Passion, I don't go to them.
I have had mixed results, and it's not worth the aggravation. A good hairdresser is confident in their own skills and has already developed an eye for a good cut, I need the expertise of a pro, not an amateur. I'll pay the extra.

I just got a lead from a barista at Easy Street Records on a hair salon, PF
My own style is magenta streaks on a dark brown base. I asked her where she got hers done and she told me, I'm looking it up. That's my next big splurge, a cut and foil for my birthday.

In Australia, bank service is abysmal - a minimum number of staff, enormous queues and the only time bank processes are efficient is when they're wanting to sell you an extra product like insurance (then they never have a problem getting back to you). The only thing that matters to banks is maximimizing their profit (often by a hundred and one hidden fees) and keeping their share-holders happy.

Ocassionally, my hand slips
I use one of those little battery operated shavers for above my eyebrows and you have to be careful...if your hand slips, you can totally shave off a section of your eyebrows...whoops!

I have been living with bald eyebrows for the past two months thanks to bad customer service and incompetance. The girl who fixed them today will see me again and again and again!

I love that foil coloring technique too Blanche...
It's fast and efficient with always good results. You can get wide streaks of blonde or skinny or any color combinations....I wouldn't mind getting blonde, brown and red streaks....tri-colored.
You can do so much with hair if you can find the right hairdresser. Seattle must be a bustling city in order for those places to turn you guys away. I could see it on a Saturday, but not a weekday.
What do you think about Beauty Schools? There are pros and cons.

Passionflower, MG and I went to 5 different hair salons yesterday to try
and get him a walk-in appointment. They all told him "not today, come back tomorrow". Duh, we're here now, and he has to work tomorrow. They looked at us like we had two heads, but the thing is they weren't that busy and men's hair is much faster to cut than women's (and they're just plain less fussy), so if they'd wanted to, we could have been in and out of there in the time they were telling us no.
I want to get a foil on my hair in the next week or two, my red is fading, too. Red fades so fast, but I like it, it's my latest style.
