It is relevant with regard to how to deal with the victims, Absolutely.
However, with regard to Schmeca, it isn't. She broke the law in a very public place while in charge of minors.

You don't say how old the children were - I think it's relevant
If they were very young they would not have understood her odd behaviour. Older students would probably think, as you suggest, that Miss White does has some form of mental problem.

Her momma and daddy were both schmuckas, Mademoiselle. And all of the
children there, according to the reports I read, weren't mentally challenged. Still, there are various forms and degrees of mental disabilities. No doubt the defense used the "retard" card. But to no avail. The prosecution nailed the case and the judge gave her what he could, but, by his own admission, not what she deserved. And I agree.

If she denies it, and the kids were mentally challenged, how do they know it actually happened?
And what the heck kind of name is Schmeca, anyway?
Before you criticize someone,
you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them,
you're a mile away,
and you have their shoes.
