Great POST!!
Well said, Manda Lee! What Rush fails to mention are the Republicans that MJF has supported.  He has said time and again stem cell research is a nonpartisan issue with a bipartisan solution.  Illness doesn't care about party lines.  Stem cell research started in the 80s but every Republican administration has put the cure behind since Reagon.  People who can raise the money are going elsewhere in the world where research has not been held back by governmental restrictions as in the U.S.  In the meantime, when I was first afflicted with Parkinson's at age 30, I would have been cured right now had a cure been realized in 15 years.  At age 53, I doubt I'll live another 15 years.  I have two children.  I want a cure in place for them or their children, because I fear for their futures.  Mine is pretty much cemented in place, but Michael J Fox is speaking for the young people who suffer with Parkinson's NOW.  A 17 year old he had lunch with who was very symptomatic said 15 years wouldn't be too long to wait.
