Slycy, I haven't noticed Mark Wahlburg, not to disrespect him at all.
I simply was surprised at how well he's grown up, not a lot of actors do.

I thought you were right on about none of the characters being much
better than the others and about the performances. Mark Wahlberg has been a decent actor for about ten years now and deserves some respect by this time, but you are entitled to your opinions. I am glad you didn't see the Williams movie.

My boyfriend said the exact same thing, Mademoiselle, that Nicholson was
basically reprising The Joker, but still, even if he's as predictable as DeNiro or Walken, it's still perfect for the part. I heard that Williams' newest movie, about becoming president sucked, too. I'm glad we missed it.

Yeah, you didn't miss much ... "Man of the Year" blew.
Of course, it was still infinitely better than "RV" (which was essentially unwatchable).
Meanwhile, my only problem with "The Departed" was how Nicholson seemed to revert back to "The Joker"-mode (as opposed to his more subtle and nuanced recent performances).
"Betwixt classes."
