it's a fine line we walk in terms of wanting to domesticate animals and wanting to give them their space. We need laws that protect people from animals and vice versa. I deelpy feel that its sad that dogs are tied up or need to haev them cooped up in closed spaces. But, that's life We live in an imperfect world. As for the name Aloe Vera, my being in the healing profession, I wanted a name that would evoke. And, my family happily went along. Thanks for sharing your views.

Greenfield, In my city it is not the owners that do not want their dogs to run loose, it is the law. There is nowhere that a person can legally unleash the dog and let it run free except on their own fenced property. Even then, if the dog should jump the fence or get out in some way, the owner is liable for anything the dog might do or any injury the dog might incur. I don't have a dog, but it makes me sad to see my son's border collie in the house, or on a leash or chain all the time. He is such an active dog and really needs to be herding something on God's green earth.

We used to let the dogs run loose in rural areas but now there are too many cars and they get hit. And people who think they run in packs and chase deer will shoot them. The neighborhood has changed. My dog has a fenced yard. I have never heard of a dog named aloe vera. To me that's a houseplant. My dog's name is Poika.e

Here in my city
dog parks have boomed. These are areas where people can bring their leashed dogs and then let them run loose with each other. I drive past one on my way home from work every day. They look like such joyful places for the dogs.
