Bhaskering - Re: SLEEP
This is wonderful and so enlightening, thankyou. ANd it also brought to my mind and interesting saying I heard once:
Sleep is an imperfect death and Death the perfect sleep.

Such nightmares spring from some deep-seated fear in the sub-conscious mind, which one does not or cannot realize/recall in the conscious state. The mind as such contains seven layers: these are the Conscious, Unconscious, Collective Unconscious and the Cosmic unconscious. That is, three below the Conscious level. The three above are: Super Conscious, Collective Conscious and the Cosmic Conscious. That makes seven. But we are aware of only one; the Conscious. Psychologists recognize three - conscious, unconscious and the collective unconscious, and this is backed by modern science too. Anyway that was just to familiarize you with what is.
As far as the nihtmares are concerned, it is from the sub mixed with the unconscious states. Transcendental Meditation, TM , can be very helpful in such cases.

BUT I WONDER WHY?
Ive only had one reply here of another experiencing the same night terrors as I, so Im sure this is experienced by others. But I wonder why this happens, what causes this frightful nightime experience, and I wonder if its only a certain type of person that these terrors happen to.
And I wonder if there is a remedy to preventing them?
