Comments on Sharia Law -- Coming To YOUR Town

ex simsim that was an interesting article -- thanks for sending my way

but there are two important facts to keep in mind.  First of all, Judeo-Christian rule of law isn't Sharia rule of law.  I challenge you to compare the two and see which you'd prefer to live under.  Thanks, but the choice is simple and I would choose Judeo-Christian law any day over Sharia law.  Particularly as a woman.

Secondly, Mother Jones is the most liberal magazine out there, and they're going to put as negative a spin on Christianity as they possibly can.  You mention that Christians are attempting to wipe out Islam.  Well, that's one way of putting it.  I see Christians as trying to reach muslims with the love of Jesus.  Not wipe out.

As always, thanks for commenting.

Re: Janes, you seem to have forgotten
Christian missionaries go undercover in the Muslim world to wipe out Islam.
Many non Muslims confess cruelties and attempts against the Islamic faith. Barry Yeoman is the writer of an intriguing article I read and commented few hours ago with one of my Christian friends and I discovered that we have much in common. Read how to mask one's identity while secretly working to convert Muslims

Kingmi, I would venture to guess that a small percentage of
Mexican immigrants -- if they don't wish to overtly overthrow the government -- would nonetheless be more than happy to see it annexed to Mexico.  So although they are not of the religious persuasion that everyone must become Muslim (through peaceful means or the sword), I think there are a number who would love nothing more than to see at least the entire bottom half of the USA be annexed.

JanesO, A good time for unadulterated spin. Europe is struggling with

immigration of muslims who, as has already been said here, do not want to integrate or keep the governments Western in nature.

But America has the nice problem of an immigration of Mexicans.  Now some of them might be criminals and sexual predators, as has been said before.  But that's our fault for not having an immigration policy that is rational.

My question is:  what percent of the Mexican immigrant population, legal or otherwise, holds as its sectarian belief the overthrow of the American government?  I'd say zero.

There is a difference between making things up and putting a 'spin' on news
Most of the news we see today is bs. Most of it is a part of the problem instead of a step in the direction of a solution. We all sit in front of our screens and bicker and dither, accuse and separate (people like you, liberals, Christians, right wing nutjobs, Muslims, you idiots, those fools, the Republicans, the Democrats, come on here. The humans??) and stay as busy and distracted as little bees. There is a real desperate situation going on in your community. It directly affects one of your neighbors. Maybe there's a family without food. Maybe a senior citizen without heat. Maybe someone could use some encouragement. But we're all so busy cynically defending our views about the politicians and who's right and who's stupid that we've lost sight of the real picture. WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS!!! We all have to live on this planet together, like it or not. If this situation doesn't get better, we'll all be screwed. Them where it's hot with no water, us where it's colder, but with no oil. All of us without rights or choices anymore. TURN OFF YOUR TV AND STOP FEELING LIKE YOU HAVE SOME CONTROL OVER WHAT IS BEING SHOWN TO YOU. IT'S ALL BS!! GET ACTIVE IN YOUR COMMUNITY TO CHANGE THE WORLD. UNITE INSTEAD OF SEPARATING!!!!

Xenox, perhaps the only news you consider to be true is the

stuff you've made up???

Of course every news agency is going to have its own spin, along with every commentator, every journalist.  To this day I think Fox is truly the most balanced but obviously you'll laugh at that notion.  You'd probably say that the Daily Kos (or whatever that liberal blog is named) is the most balanced since that seems to be where your constructs are on the spectrum.

I actually prefer to get news from Grudge, Yahoo, Newsmax, Fox News and heck!  Right now I'm listening to CNN!!!

saaaads, what a farce.

The USA has no imperialistic machinations towards China, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela.  Have you heard anyone calling to saddle up the horses and invade?  I didn't think so. What has the USA been encouraging for North Korea?  Six nation negotions?  Does this sound like imperialism? Same with Iran.  I note that the countries you named are pretty much run by despots and hoodlums -- and most definitely not by the rule of law.  You don't have a clue.

If you're talking about imperialism as it (somehow) relates to the purchase of oil from some of these countries, keep in mind that, were it not for oil sales, these same countries would still be in the dark ages and their inhabitants riding camels.  Thanks to the money from US oil purchases, these people can buy CARS!!!

Sorry buddy but you're drinking your bathwater if you believe what you wrote -- either that or really, really desperate.

Oh and by the way, I do not work for the government.

Your president wants to impose the imperialist designs of his own country to any country that opposes his ideology namely China, Iran, Iraq, Venezuela, North Korea, Libya, Sudan... Lest China and Venezuela, i think most americans will call all other countries as terrorists.. But who decides terrorism? Mr. Bush? BHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA.....

How does it feel to get a taste of your own medicine for a change.. You don't work for the goverment now do you Ms. Jane? Spreading the same fear of Muslims as Mr. Bush, just to get more sympathisers? What a joke aka your article.

Straightforward, I doubt it, although I appreciate your concern.

Europe is deailng with huge problems pertaining to their large Muslim populations.  The goal of Islam is world submission.  It's in the Koran, it's in their preachings.  If they cannot do it by peaceful means, they will use force.  As the numbers of Muslims increase in America, we will only have similar problems.

I do not wish to make people paranoid; my goal is to make people open their eyes to the dilemma we're facing.

Thanks for your comment.

Corbin and LeRoy, thanks for your input.

I think we're seeing the slow cooking of the frog here.  We'll awaken too late -- after the frog has been cooked.

Separation of church and state seems only to apply to Christians.  All other religions appear welcome in all areas -- schools, governments, etc.  Except for those groups that are tenaciously fighting to protect our freedoms -- ACLJ, ADF, FRC, FOTF -- we'd be in even worse shape.

Thank you for sharing.

Amen Justi. I completely concur.
And yes, the whole separation of Church and State is a hoax.  It has been raised to the level of the Constitution, but it is not constitutionally valid.  But we've fallen for it hook line and sinker and I believe it will lead to the demise of religious freedom in this country.

posted by JanesOpinion on October 23, 2006 at 8:22 AM | link to this | reply

Blanche, I appreciate your comments, really I do!!!!!

I want to build bridges but the dilemma I see with this "Bridges TV" is that they talk about building bridges and yet they preach something altogether different.  Namely, they preach about taking over the US with their Islamic Sharia law.  Our current laws and ways will bite the dust if Islamic thought becomes stronger in this country.  They don't believe in separation of church and state.  As others have mentioned already, the public schools are supporting more Muslim ideology than Christian ideology.  It's OK to be Muslim in the schools, but not Christian.

There are many who believe that political correctness will eventually send Christianity underground.  It's OK to be any other religion but Christian.  And I don't think these folks are paranoid, either.  I've seen to much anti-Christian rhetoric out there and think this is a very real concern.

Regarding voting Democrat -- my only thought there was that I found it interesting that Jews tend to vote Demo and here are a bunch of Muslims also encouraging a vote for Democrats -- so you've got the arch rivals/enemies voting for the same people.  Odd, eh????

Jane's
You are right on. To bad us Christians do not read our Bibles more. We would know this is true and is coming. THERE IS NO SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE IN THE CONSTITUTION! There is the case of not making it a church/state run by any denomination or faith. That should have no bearing on our displaying our symbols they are all over our Capitol and hopefully will remain. I have said on here several times. The goal of Islam is to take over the whole world from inside their countries. They will go into politics and from there rule. I hope people will please open their eyes, hearts and ears, this is a tragedy.

posted by Justi on October 23, 2006 at 6:18 AM | link to this | reply

Jane,

what most people do not comprehend is that for a true Muslim the separation between church and state, (or 'mosque' and state, although in Islam the term 'mosque' [masjid or jama'a] is more narrowly confined to to the actual place of worship), as we understand it in the West, is incomprehensible and abhorrent. What is more, for a true Muslim a 'secular' morality is no morality at all. There are consequences flowing from thse basic premises...

European Muslims have a clear politico-religious aim: to convert Europe to Islam. There is absolutely no reason to believe that North American Muslims hold different views. In fact I know they don't.

Too bad our nice, liberal friends haven't got a clue...

Janes
Blanche is incorrect about the "separation of church and state" keeping government buildnings free from any religion.  Already in some public schools time out is given for Muslim prayers during school time while Chiristian students are not allowed to pray during school time.

JanesOpinion, I'm not following you. The quote about building bridges

and healing relationships doesn't seem particularly scary to me, it seems healthy.  There are worse things than having Democrats in office, you know.  There is a need for healthy balance.

We are not about to turn into a 13th Century country, with Muslim traditions and culture, it's not likely to happen. The US is still a majority Christian culture, and even if it weren't, thankfully, we have separation of Church and State according to the first amendment, which is designed to prevent the domination of one state religion, that's the beauty of it. We Christians may not be able to decorate our offices with our religious symbols, such as the cross and Nativity scene or put them in Federal office buildings, court houses or schools, but then again neither can any other.

And, for heavens' sake, what do the Jews have to do with anything?
