Thanks MIKE, always. Suffering can make us Gandhis or Hitlers & a mix too
I choose to make this life match the beauties around me, no matter how or what I may be subjected to. There is power and tremendous strength after suffering indignity and humilation, especially because of racism. gandhi and Martin Luther King knew these things... and Jesus knew it fully, holistically, completely. Hello YPunday
Not sure we've communicated yet. Interesting thoughts on how the colours are perceived by us. And the Blake poem adds a dimension to this. Green is always good, in summer and winter. Red is beautiful, but a symbol of mortality, perhaps. We may not have perfect eyesight, but we understand with our developed minds that fall and winter are less vibrant in colour terms and warmth terms. Grey sky is, I think, a very oppressive environment. There is a lot of grey sky in North West England, so I know how it feels. Baudelaire occasionally writes about this. Regards - Tony

"The Blossom" by Wm. Blake,a pious Christian poet, may suit this post.

The Blossom

Poem lyrics of The Blossom by William Blake.

Merry, merry sparrow!
Under leaves so green
A happy blossom
Sees you, swift as arrow,
Seek your cradle narrow,
Near my bosom.
Pretty, pretty robin!
Under leaves so green
A happy blossom
Hears you sobbing, sobbing,
Pretty, pretty robin,
Near my bosom.
