Sannhet, even if there's no conscious desire to follow a particular style,
I think that all the books that I've ever loved, that I've absorbed are in me still somewhere, and since I was at one point, a huge Hitchhikers' Guide and Monty Python fan, it still comes out (hence the punfests with Dave for example.)

Thanks so much, my friend! I'm actually struggling with which direction to go. I've got a couple of different angles, both with merit, but can't decide which one to choose. I guess when I set down to write the outcome, whereever my fingers go (as directed by my muse), then that's the direction I'll head. As always, thanks for reading!

I've had a few friends do it, but I've yet to try. I'm trying to start regularly soaring again, if I can get it into my schedule. I love the feel of gliding - very similar to skydiving, though not as fast! Hope you're son enjoys it. Thanks for the visit.

For this particular stunt, I've got a stunt-author standing in for me. While I've always wanted to, I have yet to get the nerve. I'd much rather spend a day soaring then jumping. Thanks for stopping by!

HHGG is one of my first loves! I discovered it just after graduating from college and loved every word. It made me both laugh and think, something that very few books can do. And though there has been no conscious effort to follow in Mr. Adams' style, I'm sure unconsciously it's there in the ether as I write. Thanks for the visit!

I'm wondering how you're going to go with this. I'm imagining the directions you might take with this. Very nice work.

What a thrilling experience it must be! My son has just won a prize for it.

Bardo Thodal is a Tibetan mantra that they chant for a person about to die. You will be perhaps, surprised to know that the dying person becomes utterly silent and peaceful listening to the chant.

The chant goes something like this: "Relax, be silent.Go to your centre, just be there; don't leave it....whatsoever happens to the body. Just be a witness. Let it happen, don't interfere.Remember, remember, remember that you are only a witness; that is your true nature. If you can die remembering, the wheel (Samsara) is stopped".

The person leaves his body in great joy, that can be seen on the countenance of the dead. This has been verified scientifically by the university of scientific research at Delaware.

One of my step-daughters did that. Tiny little thing she is, and up she went. I wouldn't have the nerve. Good for you my friend.

Sannhet, your writing reminds me a lot of Douglas Adams' of The

Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy.   Ford Prefect, time traveling through the galaxy, writing a guidebook, on which are written the words, "Don't Panic" and "Always carry a towel". That and the other book with the electronic monk who is programmed to dbout.

Intoxicating and profound stuff, when you're 22.
