I'm afraid God has been angry with me for 5 1/2 yrs. He took away my family back then and now he's taken my job that I loved so much. I'm struggling to find a reason to go on some days.

You guys here at Blogit are my one little ray of sunlight lately.

You're right about attention spans. How did some people get thro' grade school, let alone higher education? They've got the attention span of a thrip.

OMG! It says a lot for how shallow people have become that even reading 200 words is a mammoth effort. What saddns me is that they openly admit that they don't/can't/won't read a long post.

Shame on them!!!!!

I'm not so sure that a well liked blogger is easily forgotten

I'm with the favorites list approach and I check mine frequently to see if someone I enjoy has returned, so to speak.

I also think there's too much importance placed on "ranking" or number of comments received.  Sure, we like to know that our work is being read and appreciated but there's nothing more annoying to me than a catchy subject line and a blog with little or not content.  I feel like I've been fooled or something.  There is a wealth of creativity, soulful stories being shared, information being imparted, or humuour to lift one's spirits.  It's those posting that I appreciate the most.

Don't we write for the pleasure of writing and don't we read for the pleasure of reading?

if one does not post much, there is not much to comment upon, hmm?

But when said blogger returns infrequently, it takes me a while to realize something has been posted. Sure, I could use a favorites list, but it gets really long. Although, hmm, I seem to recall it lets you know when something gets updated. Is there a limit to how long it can get? maybe I will look into it again...

I'm not so sure I agree with you...

I've taken a long hiatus from blogit recently and I'm surprised how quickly I'm climbing up the ratings again. Plus, you were one of the bloggers I used to enjoy reading so I naturally came back to your posts. I remember the people I enjoy reading and would read them if they came back suddenly.
