britches...
Where did you acquire the astounding ability to come up with the self-imagined argument-ending spirit-crushing enemy-destroying smugness-enhancing small-vocabulary short-words one-line zinger?
The britches are currently off the nail--although only in a metaphorical sense as its not actually a nail, but one of those hardware store fixtures for which I'm sure there is a name but which escapes me at the moment because of my focus on enjoying you live out the life of a comedic terrorist.
Other than that the wind seems to be rising. There's a large branch down in the back yard as a consequence. And then there's the excitement from yesterday when a kid made a remark about
Cassady having no ears.
And today I got, in my email, an update from S about her recent marriage to N and how they are doing in their new home.
Also, in the wee hours of the morning I called the local police to have them come by and check out suspicious sounds in the back yard. Cassady was out there on the deck and making her tentative bark when its people. She goes whole-hog, so to speak when its one of the local critters like a squirrel, possum, raccoon or skunk. They didn't find anything but encouraged me to give them a call whenever I noticed anything that sounded suspicious.
Oh, what else? Cynthia left me some photos to scan. They were taken not long after we first met. There's one of me stretched out on some rocks at the beach. I'll let you know when they are online.
Golly, where does the time go when one sits down to pen a few words to a bloviating correspondent? Catch you latere, DUDE!
