This is odd. I wrote this totally off the top of my head because I'm missing my friend Linda, the woman I wrote about. I've published it on another online site, and people seem to have really responded to this. I find that out with a lot of my articles which always floors me. Maybe it's because I didn't censor things? I'm not sure.
Reader's digest is so political in terms of publishing. I had something they wanted one time. The kicker is, it hadn't been published elsewhere, and they really wanted it as a reprint. It was so bizarre. I haven't tried anything with them in a long time.
