It is scary to think about. But, that is exactly what prevents it from manifesting. I've tried this with small stuff and it works wonderfully. I've even applied it with some big stuff. You'd be amazed.

Avant, laying down one's defenses, a kind of unilateral disarmament of the
spirit, seems foolhardy at times, when one is under attack.  However, you're right, not risking ridicule, revilement, and rejection is a form of self-imprisonment.  Blocking only leads to escalation.
