Thanks Terpgirl..yes we do go out to jazz concerts
The State Fair and sporting events....Yes, this is a beautiful city with lots of great malls and restaurants....but this IS NOT what I had planned.
This is NOT where I want to live. I do not like 9 to 5 office jobs. They suck! I'm trying to be happy and not complain too much.
Good luck on your court date. I hope things work out for you.

Okay, I don't feel sorry for you at all now. Why this didn't hit me before, I don't know. You're in Dallas. That means Dallas Mavericks. That means Brad Davis (Terp MAN 30), former basketball player at the Univ. of Maryland, and the person I have asked for for Christmas every year since I've been 12.) Sigh, heavy sigh. You're within decent stalking range. I would have the biggest, goofiest grin on my face...okay, I DO have that grin on my face now. It takes so little to get me through the day. Kind of pathetic, huh?
Seriously, do you get a chance to get out and do things there? I don't know the town, so is it a matter of not having much to do, hating the job or hating the town...or just that you're in such a crappy place with everything, it's just one more thing. (I totally understand that.)

Just hold on. You'll see that you'll come unstuck from Dallas, which is not a bad place to live, that is , if I had a choice!! Chee up, girl.

I didn't mean it to sound funny because I'm in the same crappy place you are these days...but when I read your headline ...when your life takes a downward spiral, this popped into my mind:
Make sure there's a little water at the bottom of the pool so you won't kill yourself on the way down.
I have a court date tomorrow, so I'm not being terribly optimistic tonight. :)
I wish I had a good answer for you, but I'm lost, too, for the most part. I think all you can do is leaning on others around you for the time being.

I need an ex who lives in a warm climate, Offbeat...
Oh yea....I've been to see that one...LOL! I guess this would be much worse if I was stuck in a cold place. But the weather began to turn today...it was chilly all day long.

Yeah like you could be stuck in OHIO or Gawd forbid Fargo...lol
I am glad you have Richard to watch over you...
I don't know if I could handle my ex doing that, but it would depend on which ex...
Of course you could always go stay with my ex and experience that for yourself...lol

Isn't that the truth, Passion? We've all been there and come out of it and you will too. You're a warm, sweet, loving, intelligent woman and you will find your place. In the interim, you just have to be patient and wait for it. It will happen, Passion. It will. Richard is right and he's standing by you. I think he would take care of you as long as you needed him to. You're very fortunate in that respect, may not be what you want, but he sounds willing to do it.
Here's wishing you a good day, will see you tonight.

Richard offers
some wise words of advice. Cannot add much. Just hang tough. The wheel of life does turn, just sometimes slower than we would like

I crank up the stereo, like I just did, Passionflower, and dance.
When all else fails, and I'm stuck waiting, like I am (and you are), what else can you do. And, btw, Richard is being a good friend, he may be irritating, but he's helping the best he can. Cut him some slack.
And, as for Dallas, would you rather be stuck in Lodi?
