Mystic
You are correct in your assertion. Light can expose what death is not.

I think death is an illusion, not as it appears, and we must pierce it with the light in order to see truely.

Avant Garde, I look at death as the beginning of
new life! Keep writing, faholo

Life should be lived
Death is simply the end of one adventure and the beginning of the next

I think the thought of losing what we know is the real cause of the fear of death. It should be an adventure.

I agree. Physical suffering leaves little to be desired.

Forgetting ourselves, Avant Garde, what a tall order that is.

I have brief flashes of surrender to the inevitable, acceptance and receptivity, but then my ego is back in full force.

Still, even a minor brush with death or closer acquaintance with it, does alter perceptions and re-order priorities forever.   I quell my fears with the comfort of eterrnal unity, enfolding me into unconditional oneness, but quite honestly (hope that's not an excessive adverb there), I'm not ready to go yet.  I have too much to look forward to.

By embracing life, I'm losing my fear of death.  "It's the soul afraid of dying that cannot learn to live".  whose lyrics were those, I can't quite recall?

"Oh, death, where is thy sting?  Oh, grave, where is thy victory?"  (The Bible)  Personally, avant-garde, I look at death as the doorway to surprise and discovery.

Death does not scare me.
It's extended PAIN that I don't like...
