I'd have to look at what kinds of blogs I put in my favorites
I wonder if I have a large percentage of journals.

And we all know how "real" reality shows actually are.  I agree with your assessment.  Perhaps the mundane attracts so many because so many lead mundane little lives.  We would probably be much more successful if we ground out trashy real life pieces.

Automotive just missed the list.  I'm glad you liked my little list.  It's just a tiny part of what I used to do on a regular basis.  Why, I don't know.

I think it's the angst factor, people's preoccupations with airing and viewing dirty laundry. A great fictional story murdering a spouse goes unnoticed while a mediocre post written about a silly spat with a spouse leaves them clamoring for more. Lousy real-life drama is somehow more interesting than the best made-up version. It's the online equivalent of TV talk shows and reality shows.
