Yep, ain't had a TV for 6 years now. Read the papers online, watch a film on DVD now and again. Oopss! Does blogging sully my virtue????

It is fatuous to hope that " they" can arrest our descent into moral, intellectual and social squalor ; it is up to us to do it in our daily lives.

At the risk of sounding pompous and patronising (  things of which I've been accused here in Blogit ) only by our honesty and rectitude in our own lives, and the expression of vehement disapproval of moral turpitude in others, can we ever hope for a brighter future.

As a smal beginning, we could all look for, and use that mysterious " OFF " switch on our TVs. Not me, of course, 'cos I don't have a TV.
