A person can only do so much
One person is not responsible for others. We can only do so much to help then one needs to take responsibility of their own actions.

I agree
A professionals role is up to a point.  From this point, the siblings have to take forward their issues. It'snot a divide between personal and political so much, as it is a question of boundaries.  It's knowing where one begins and the other ends.

Hi there.
Usually we are not allowed to go beyond our professional remit, for the customers' and our own protection. A complaint could be made against us, most likely by whoever lost out! Or they might start getting too close to us, and then if things ever go pear-shaped it might come out in public that we've got too close, spent time with them, accepted gifts etc. They might fall out with us themselves and report us to our boss. So I think there have to be professional boundaries distinguishing such encounters from friendships. You can't trust them to behave as you would like. You can only trust your friends, and even then not always!! Mind you, I certainly think some workers could be more human in their approach, and the human touch usually gets the best results...
