Artifact, These flashbacks can be so powerful sometimes.
His daughter was probably in shock, was terrified, and anger and fear are basic, primal responses, that even if she looked at you angrily, it's not really you she was aware of, but the shock of the moment, fear for her father, and still in shock over losing her mother.
He didn't die, and it wasn't all up to you to save him. I learn lessons, only to forget them again, I guess. I go from hypervigilance to a kind of protective cocoon, and back again.
